This piece has been inspired by all the pollinators that live around us. So I chose a Yellow Banded Bumble Bee, native in the eastern US. This is what a queen looks like. This yellow banded bumble bee queen brings all the buzz to our wild lands.

Original 30x30" oil and mixed media painting.
The 1.5" canvas side is painted in solid oil paint.
